Home textiles: what retail buyers are restocking this season

Trending product · 14 March 2026 · 5 min read

Textiles are a fragmented supply base, which is good for price and bad for consistency. The same mill can ship two very different batches if nobody is checking on the ground.

Why it is moving

Retailers are refreshing private-label bedding and soft furnishings, where a small spec change lets them hold a price point that imported branded goods can no longer match.

What to verify before the deposit

Almost every textile complaint traces back to a measurement or a colour approval that was never documented.

  • GSM and thread count tested on production fabric, not the sales sample
  • Shrinkage and colour-fastness after wash, in writing
  • Approved lab dips and a signed colour standard held by both sides
  • Cut-size tolerance per piece, checked against the size label

Sourcing notes

We inspect textiles at AQL level with a defect list agreed before production starts, so seam, stain and measurement issues are judged against your standard rather than the factory's.
